What is a Search Alert?
Search Alerts can be real time savers!
Have you ever searched for something on the Internet or in a database and wished that you could automatically run that search over and over without having to build it again? If so, then Search Alerts are for you!
This guide will provide instructions for creating and managing search alerts in library databases and other search engines.
Please note that most search engines and databases will require you to create a personal user account in order to use Search Alerts. When this is required, instructions are included for creating that account.
Most alerts use email to notify you when new results are available. Some will use RSS feeds.
